Party with FDCP and JCA Productions 2009

As they say, “we work hard, we play harder…”

The Professional Models Association of the Philippines, currently spearheaded by its new batch of officers, led by president Ariel Atendido, have thrown a series of get-together for its beloved fashion industry groups and friends.

First was for the Fashion Designers Guild of the Philippines (FDCP) and JCA Productions, successfully held at CAV Wine Bar and Resto*. Next was at Cuisine, Embassy Superclub, for the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines (FDAP) and the Shu Uemura make-up team. Then Basilios Bar, also at the Fort, graciously hosted the joint birthday celebration of PMAP members like Apples Aberin, Jackie Aquino, Jon Estrada and more, which was also covered by QTV's Events Inc.

Onto the fourth, once again, sponsored by Beam Global Spirits & Wines, Russian Standard Vodka was held at Nuvo's Friday MONDE SOL time, for SAGA Events and the Young Designers Guild (YDG). Overflowing drinks, fun and fabulous guests were all about to solidify its' rockin' bond with the forever strong, PMAP! Until the next get together!

Elections and teambuilding in Tarawoods

Team spirit and camaraderie has always been an essential part of the long existence of PMAP. In observance of tradition, we held our teambuilding in Tarawoods in Tagaytay attended by the current batch as well as distinguished former members, mentors and friends of the association. The bi-annual election of the new board was held right after the activities.

The new PMAP Board for 2008 to 2010 was officially announced in a special closed event at Fiamma in Makati City. Outgoing president Rissa Mananquil hosted and announced the new leadership which is as follows:

PMAP Workshop

Lead by distinguished guest moderators, fashion director Jackie Aquino and Robby Carmona, the current batch of PMAP enhanced and refined their catwalk as well as took a refresher for model do's and don'ts.

In celebration of friendship and good working relationship, PMAP hosted a party attended by the designers of the FDCP and the leadership and staff of JCA PRODUCTIONS. The party at Cav in The Fort was a success as the night went on and familiar faces toasted and partied the night away.

Party with FDAP and the Shu Uemura make-up team

Attended by make-up artists of Shu Uemura and members of the elite group The Fashion Design Association of the Philippines, the party at Cuisine in The Fort successfully brought together various characters and friends for a fun filled night.

Launch of the ‘Mabuhay ang Modelong Pinoy' campaign

From December 8 to14, the PMAP will launch its new campaign that will showcase the local talent that the PMAP models have. Its objective is to empower the Filipino look once again and prove that the local fashion industry is strong and competitive. Further details will be posted soon.

Upcoming PMAP Events

MODELYMPICS 2009

Spearheaded by the PMAP, the bi-annual Modelympics which is open to all models and members of the fashion industry will be held in the first quarter of 2009. Its objective is to unite all members of the industry. More details will be posted soon.
